How do you know you're in a meantime?
A meantime feels vicious and unforgiving.
It's when everything has been cruising along in a particular direction and then suddenly, out of the blue, something happened. Something big, and overwhelming and unpleasant and awful and life changing. Something not of your choosing.

What do you mean by Soul Loss?
Soul Loss can come from sudden or major loss, (like a meantime, as above.) But it may also have happened awhile ago.
You might be coping okay on the surface ... but the trauma is still stuck in your body and triggering unwanted emotions. Traditional counseling may have helped for awhile, but trauma gets stuck in your cells.*
Soul Loss can can also come from the chronic unease and anxiety that is the hidden cost of protecting ourselves from feeling emotional pain. We slowly assimilate to the expectations and norms of society --at the expense of our "true self."
This fragmentation of our inner, vital essence is known as soul loss. In indigenous cultures, this loss was only supposed to be temporary, to assist you in dealing with the psychological aftermath of a truly shocking experience.
Today, we live in a world addicted to trauma. We are surviving in a culture that is addicted to pharmaceuticals, alcohol and other recreational drugs.
And if we are not numbing ourselves with drugs or alcohol, we numb ourselves through the unending busyness of our lives, or through culturally accepted stimulation (found in the news, social media, video games, television shows, gambling, etc.)
We think we are failing at life if we are not happy all the time; but by its very definition, happiness is fleeting.
Besides, we're fooling ourselves (or living in a bubble) if we think we can be truly happy when we are constantly bombarded with tragedy and trauma everywhere we turn.
So we try to control life and pretend we don’t see the cumulative grief of the world. We shut ourselves off from our emotions or reach for stimulation outside ourselves; but as grief specialist and author Francis Weller said, “life is far too rambunctious and untamable for us to have such an illusional fantasy.”
These draining emotions we're trying to suppress are still active inside us even if we’ve numbed them from our conscious mind. And we can't numb those emotions without also numbing joy and gratitude and happiness.

You cannot selectively numb [those hard feelings.] So when we numb those, we numb joy, we numb gratitude, we numb happiness. And then we are miserable, and we are looking for purpose and meaning, and then we feel vulnerable, so then we have a couple of beers and a banana nut muffin. And it becomes this dangerous cycle.” --Brene' Brown
From an indigenous perspective, soul loss is a common cause of illness.
In my experience, soul loss --even if it happened so slowly that we are barely conscious of it-- is the root cause of what is clinically known as “low-grade depression” and “generalized anxiety” in the western world.
So what can you do to get it back?

I believe that our human desire for belonging, especially as women, combined with societal expectations and pressure to conform to norms, leads us to abandon our True Selves (what I call your Wild & Wise Heart) often without even realizing it. And then we suffer in some way from the results.
Anxiety, depression, illness ... all these are symptoms of something deeper; and no amount of yoga, mani/pedis, massage, bubble baths or just-one-more-glass of wine can create the kind of well being that comes from believing you're whole and of value just-as-you-are.
If you're going through a "meantime", we'll start right there. I have tools specifically designed to get you out of overwhelm and back into alignment with your beautiful heart.
If your Soul Loss is an accumulation, or the result of long ago "stuff" we'll begin with this moment and take you through the process of owning your story and reclaiming your YOU and your WOO.

In her book, Daring Greatly, Brene' Brown says:
"You either walk inside your story and own it, or you stand outside your story and hustle for your worthiness... owning your story and loving yourself inside that process is the bravest thing you will ever do."
Some tools I will teach you are scientifically proven, and they are effective, practical, and immediately applicable to your life. Others are based on magick and Spirit and intuition ... and they will amaze us both as your life unfolds when you put them into practice.
Along the way, I will hold space for your transformation, and guide you back to your Wild and Wise Heart. This is the part of you that understands you and your life like no other, who sees the patterns of your past and the potential of your best possible future, and knows how to nudge you, push you and guide you in just the right way to help you own your story, integrate your whole self, shine your light and make the best choices to fully belong yourself to your you. Your wholeness and value (woo) arise from that, and will take you to the beautiful life unfolding around you as you walk the path.
