A Bit About Me

Hi! I'm Kristin.
I believe I was put here on Earth to hold space for the part of you that yearns to unite your desire for belonging with your ache to be authentically you, and to help you define, own, express and be appreciated for the gifts you bring to the world.
I'm an intuitive healer and spiritual transformation guide with a back drop of super science-geek.
My mission is to guide you back to radical self-belief, help you claim your true purpose, and take your place as an influencer on the world stage (even if the only place you want to grow your influence is in your own life and the lives of your family.)
My work is designed to empower you to re-member your most authentic self --the one who goes all out for what she believes in, stands her ground when her boundaries are pushed, and celebrates life with abandon, (instead of looking over her shoulder waiting for the other shoe to drop.)
I believe that all of us suffer from little bits of soul loss in our lifetime. Some of them come from major loss. Others are learned over time as we --(if you are like me) grudgingly, and with reluctance --assimilated ourselves to the norms of society.
In my experience, this soul loss --even if it happened so slowly we were barely conscious of it-- is one of the biggest causes of anxiety, depression, hopelessness and despair in our world.
I call this part of ourselves --the part we lost connection with-- our Wild and Wise Heart. The more we disconnect from her, the more we begin to armor and anesthetize ourselves to keep from feeling our disappointment, hurt, sadness, fear, loneliness, and shame ... and even the full expression of our joy, passion, and wonder.
Without our Wild and Wise Self guiding us to be who we truly are and feel the full range of our emotions, we also lose touch with the gifts we came here to bring, and so lose a sense of our intrinsic value. We start to buy into the societal story that our sense of worth comes not from who we are, but from what we do, what things we own, and how much money we earn.
And if what we do, the things we own, and the money we earn don't align with who we are ... really, deeply, authentically ... we further armor and anesthetize ourselves because it's painful to not show up as ourselves. All of this can land us in a vicious cycle that is hard to break away from.
As Brene' Brown says,

As Brene' Brown says,
Your armor is preventing you from growing into your gifts. I understand that you needed these protections when you were small. I understand that you believed your armor could help you secure all of the things you needed to feel worthy of love and belonging, but you’re still searching and you’re more lost than ever. |
It is my belief that you (yes, YOU!) have a specific role to play on Earth, that your gifts, talents, experiences and lessons come together in a unique way that only YOU can offer the world, and that re-membering, re-connecting with and re-integrating with your Wild and Wise Self will lead you to radical self-belief ... and you'll grow into the most authentically confident, centered, and grounded woman you know.
If this is a journey you're ready for, I'd be honored to walk beside you, hold your armor when you're ready to take it off, and offer my steadfast guidance and support.
Much love,
Kristin

My Story
The story of my current life begins with the moment I hit the send button on an email to my then-boss's boss in early December of 2005. (Think The Manifesto in Jerry Maguire with similar drama.)
If you are interested in the whole story, you can get it here:

Of course, that was only the beginning of my path to living a life I love and belong to ... I have many more stories of transformation before and since. But hitting send was my first leap of faith into a life where I build the bridge as I walk on it. With every further step I take, I deepen my trust in my Wild and Wise Heart and my spiritual guides.
As I set out to live a more intentional life, I amplified and strengthened my understanding of the ingrained patterns that hindered me in the past, both at work and in my personal life, and set my mind to learning and absorbing tools and techniques that helped me shed all of the coping mechanisms that were beneficial to me at one point in my life, but ultimately kept me stuck living a reactive life of fear rather than belonging to a life I choose.
Today, my life is filled with activities that bring me joy and adventure; allow me to express my creativity, challenge me to deepen my friendships, and exchange my unique gifts with the world. Of course, life still serves up challenges - but I am better equipped to face them.

My Work

I am a voracious learner, filled with curiosity. My influences are a bit of an eclectic mix and subject to ebb and flow with my life. But the topics that interest me most are psychology, physiology, neuroscience, nature, spirituality, the expressive arts, poetry, and literature.
I continue to study with the masters, so my work is constantly growing and evolving. Click here to learn more about my influencers.
Over time, I pulled together the tools I found most efficient, effective, useful and magickal and began teaching them to others. Now they've evolved into a method I call "Practical Magick."
It is these tools that I'd love to share with you so that you, too, can shed your false selves, identify your no-longer-useful coping mechanisms and protections, connect to your Wise and Wild Self, and live a life you truly belong to and love.
As Brene' says: "You were made to live and love with your whole heart."
Isn't it time you stopped reacting to life and started crafting the life you yearn for?

More About Me
In the fall of 2017, my partner and I moved with our two dogs and a cat into a 40 acre homestead just outside Olympic National Park that belonged to his grandmother's family, the McNally's. The square log home was built in the 1890's by his great-great grandfather Wasankari on a property a few miles away. In the 1980's, his grandmother had the log home dismantled, moved to this site, and rebuilt ... like Lincoln logs! We have views of the Straits of Juan de Fuca, and get regular visits from a large herd of elk. I'm reclaiming our garden spots from grass and weeds and turning them into wild life havens. This year we have multiple varieties of song birds, hummingbirds, butterflies, dragon flies, frogs, garter snakes, bees, and more. |
In addition to gardening, I read voraciously, make art from nature, hike the local trails and beaches with the dogs, and prepare wholesome yummy meals for friends and family.
Speaking of family, I'm very close to mine. My mom still lives on Lake Crescent (where I grew up.) Four out of five of my siblings now live here on the Olympic Peninsula , meaning that nine of my fourteen nieces and nephews live close-by. Being an auntie / sister / daughter is an integral part of my life and you can often find me in the company of my family.
